Launch of PAL Website

The website of the project Ptolemaeus Arabus et Latinus has been launched on August 15, 2014. For the time being it contains basic information on the project and the people working on it. In the future it will be developed into a major research tool for scholars interested in the Ptolemaic tradition and will serve as a communication interface for these scholars.

Two Latin paleographers hired

The project Ptolemaeus Arabus et Latinus appointed two 50% Latin paleographers, who will transcribe Latin Ptolemaic texts. The two new members of the team are Dr. Monika Isépy (LMU Munich) for the period July-December 2014 and Dr. Irina Galynina (Freiburg) for the period October 2014-September 2016.
