A single black naskh hand, compact and dense but clear; red used for chapter headings, abjad numbers (mostly in the diagrams), Hindu-Arabic numerals (in the body text), formulaic expressions and textual dividers; mostly dotted ductus with many vowels, rare use of shaddas, hamzas mainly written when without carrier. Short notes by other hands (23v, 92r-v, invocations of angels surrounding the colophon on 99r). Diagrams (horoscopes, a celestial sphere, tables, magical shapes) carefully drawn in red and black. Some moisture stains; slightly damaged by insects; inner and outer margins restored with paper slips; covers broken into two pieces; most quires detached, two lost (after ff. 47 and 87).
