%% (two percent signs) is the placeholder for no, one or more than one character, but not for blank space (so that a search ends at word boundaries).

= Abū Jaʿfar Aḥmad ibn Yūsuf ibn Ibrāhīm ibn al-Dāya, Tafsīr Kitāb al-Thamara (C.3.0930). — Scribal colophon. Minor marginal corrections. No glosses. This work contains one hundred and one verba following the same arrangement as MS Berlin, Staatsbibliothek Preußischer Kulturbesitz, Sprenger 1839. It does not convey a religious preface or a colophon praising the Prophet. The manuscript begins with the introductory part in which Aḥmad ibn Yūsuf explains his aim in writing his commentary. Then follows a simplified version of the first verbum and commentary. The final part of the commentary of the first verbum is deemed as the second verbum and its commentary, thus introducing an additional verbum. Additionally, the would-be verbum 35 is numbered instead as 34, thus matching the standard order again. Verbum 43 is numbered as 44, and from that point on, the numbering of verba should be decremented by one to match the standard numbering, thus resulting in one hundred and one verba.
